Your business is to help you achieve your goals in life?

People start businesses for various reasons. Some dream of being so rich. Another is tired to work for someone else. Others think they know better, so embark on a business. Even I know that some people who have taken business simply because a happy accident. I did not intend to start business. It just happened through a series of circumstances they never expected.

Over time, companies exchange. What may have once been the passion of his life becomes weighing 100 pounds hanging around your neck. They now feel slaves to a society that no longer serves its life goals. They are trapped within their own business, no apparent way out.

If you agree, this list of questions that could help launch.

1. What has changed – in your business?

If your business is more than scratching the itch, what has changed? Think about the changes that have taken place. When it began, what caused the excitement of adrenaline? Is it "Cause" is still there? Or maybe you have changed. Maybe the things you need, once they have been met and that you have an itch that new needs of a new type of zero.

2. What has changed – the goals of your life?

Everyone experiences changes in our lives. Our goals started our careers are very different from our goals after 30 years of work experience. Make a list of things you want to achieve today. The list of current goals.

3. What are your goals hinder activities business?

Yes, it is a negative approach, but if you're dealing with your company to introduce and can face the facts. Can approach and, "What are your business before these goals?" We come from a "what is evil" approach that is well – is not "what is right "approach. We try to organize things.

4. What can you do about these activities or things that affect their personal goals?

List. The answer may come back: "Nothing! If so, you probably understand your options. Get out. How? Well, that's another list, and establish a "No is another story."

But perhaps there are things you can do for your business on track and in line with its objectives personal. Not long ago, I worked with a distributor who wanted to leave his company. Her objective was a target price that simply is not based in reality. His need, or purpose, had little to do with the actual value of the company. The result? No sale. The owner of a miserable business.

A better approach is to understand how to align your goals with your business. You must make changes in your business to get things in alignment with your personal goals. However, only do it if it improves business. Do not do anything to put your company at risk because they are having a midlife crisis.

He knew that business owners who inherited 30-something a parent company to withdraw and his personal goal was to buy a $ 100,000 sports car. Company is not helping them achieve that goal fairly quickly, and they are stupid. Put your company at risk such selfish goals are not exactly what we are talking about. We talk more "this is not what I want is my life" type lens.

Change what you can, if you also better company. Faced with the reality of things you can not change. Decide if you can live with them. If you can not begin to build out plan.

5. Be careful what you wish for – you can get.

"I want to go to coast and the golf, "said the owner. sold the company and did exactly that. He and his wife of 40 years has sold almost everything they had. They left behind children and grandchildren. They moved into their dream home in your dream city. For a year, did what they wanted. After a year, bored with their minds completely missing friends and family – who have returned. The coast and golf are the things they thought they wanted.

Make sure your goals in life are really what you want. There are countless men and women who thought they wanted a little thing, and was found only disappointment. Carefully review your life goals.

Business Money is not an issue. It is not only money can buy. It's basically a question of want something more powerful. Could it be the desire to know who we relate with. Perhaps the will to live wherever we want. Perhaps the desire to determine our own calendar. It may be a thousand different things. And you can not have it all. Please do not lie. All desire comes with a price tag. Their job is to make sure you are willing to pay the price for what you want.

Businesses exist because someone wants them. Sure they still want yours to be. Before dismissing these ideas, think about the other two groups of people who have a live interest in its decision: its employees and customers! Get what you need, but not be too selfish.
