How does a golf course the optical viewfinder (no laser, no Sonics) work?
Could be used to measure the distances to others? how (as with a golf course, is told to evaluate the bottom and top of the mast, the objects are not always conveniently in the same place)? How accuracy can be determined? As for nice mathematics, algebraic notation, and most importantly, I burn like holy wa … I mean, uh, the acid. definitely acid (I know this is a trigonometry problem, so I'm suspicious).
You measure the angle between the top and bottom of the flag. sin (angle) = height of the flag / remote distance = height of the flag / sin (angle) Depending on how you draw your triangle, you can tan instead of sin but for sin and fire small angles gives the same result
