Different Types of Flags
A flag is a piece of cloth whose one side is tied to a pole. Initially a flag was used for the purpose of identification and signalling, but today it is a method to deliver messages, publicity and advertising or to make a place decorative. Depending upon its usage and place of use, there can be different interpretations of flags.
