Golf Teaching Aid – Hitting The approach shot
Undoubtedly, the approach shot to the green is one of the most important plans his golf game. Taken high and tight to the pin and you're ready for good birdie opportunity. Hit thin or fat and ready a meeting place for bogey or worse. That's why you need to spend time on the driving range to hit approach shots.
I see many higher handicap golfers struggle with their approach shots to the green. It is understandable that this plan can be a bit complicated, but certainly did not for the best of you. Here is an educational tool designed courses to help you improve your shots approach and begin hitting more greens in regulation. Home.
You three basic approach shots during your round of golf. The chip shot, height flop shot and shot. Of course, there are variations of these, but we stick to these three.
The Pitch Shot
Is it the most common method golf shots. Whenever 50-110 meters from the green, you hit a pitch shot with your pitching wedge or sand wedge.
You want to open your position a little more with other golf shots. Be sure to align with the ball in line with the back foot. Want a full swing when a strike soon discharged. Do not try to get fancy and reached half or three quarters shot. Again and again you fire, the fall thin or fat. To reduce the distance the golf ball travels, swallowing a little about the club. Practice on the beach with the distance. Which golf club do the work, do not try to run the ball.
The chip shot
The following is the chip shot. This image does not try to reach a great distance. Idea after hitting a chip shot is to hit a short distance, and that the golf ball on the green of hole. The best way is to hit the ball 1 / 3 as the hole and let it run the other two thirds of the way to the pin. Obviously, the chip shot is used when overgrown front of you to work.
Use at least one club rose by 7, 8 or 9 iron to hit the photo. Place the ball in your stance and keep your weight on the left side. If not, you can easily hit the ball too hard and flying over the green. You just want a swing and a means to this photo, and complete manner half later. Again, let the club do the work and not try to direct it to the target.
Flop Shot
I will say from the outset is a difficult shot to perfect. You see, Phil Mickelson hit this photo and make it look easy, but he practiced for hours each week on this matter. If you to fly the golf ball in a sand trap, or small tree, etc, flop shot can be ideal. Want to use lofted club than have a corner at 60 degrees if possible. This picture will need to get the ball as high as possible and make it down and stick where it lands. You must have an open attitude and hit the ball. This picture has a lot of practice, so do not get frustrated when they do not happen overnight. But once it will be useful in the golf course.
By spending some time on the driving range with three different plans, you can improve your short game dramatically. Soon come more greens in regulation and reduction of your golf score.
